Sweet Jam

I am sorry I have been gone for awhile, we have been very busy moving!

Since we’re moving, I am going to miss the four peach trees we have so I thought we could make some jam.

It’s delicious!  I hope you like it too!

Mommy’s notes: We are not food experts and prepared this jam based on learned family methods.  Remember, food safety is your responsibility.  Please review the guidelines for jam readiness here:

I took some pictures of my little sister picking the peaches!

Here are the peach trees and apple trees that I will miss! Maybe we will plant some at our new house.

Coming Soon: Spaghetti

Thank you for watching my first video (Videos) and all the nice comments!

Next week I am going to make spaghetti with my mom and I hope you like it!

I want to make spaghetti with my mom because:

  1. It’s yummy, and at the end
  2. You can throw noodles at the wall and when they stick, they’re ready!

Cooking Cocoa with Corinne

Hi Everyone!
Here is episode one for my show “Recipes with Corinne!”  I am showing you how to make hot chocolate because it is the first recipe I learned, it’s easy to make and it’s delicious!

At my house we call hot chocolate “Kid Coffee,” because we drink it when mom has her adult coffee.  There are a lot of ways to make kid coffee!  I use cocoa mix because I am a kid.  But you can make it like my mom does with milk and cream, chocolate and butter and sugar.  If you do it that way, you definitely need to have an adult to help because you have to smash the chocolate with a hammer!

For us kids, cocoa mix is easiest.  Sometimes I use half water and half creamer instead of milk.  And sometimes we use almond milk or vanilla soy milk.  We haven’t tried rice milk, but there are a lot of different kinds of milk to use.  You should try making it with different kinds of milk to see what you like the most.  If you make it too hot, just add some ice, or cold water or cold milk to cool it down.

My sister likes to add marshmallows but I do not.  You should add them if you like them.  If you add them to the hot chocolate in the pan just before you turn off the heat, they get melty and frothy.  You might like that too.

I hope you enjoy my show!
Thank you for watching!

See you soon,
Corinne

I have been cooking with my mom for 3 years and my mom lets me do it all by myself if I ask first and she’s there to watch.  Remember, never cook without an adult that knows how.  Always put your hair up, sleeves up and wash your hands.

I have also told my mom to stop talking during my show.  She promised not to do that again.

Cooking Cocoa with Corinne

My first video is **Coming Soon!**

Before I can make my video and upload it, my mom made me plan it out.

I really hope you like my video because I like to cook and I put a lot of effort into it.

Step One: Plan my show.
Mom made me think of my audience (that’s the people who watch your show) and the goals and meaning of my show.

Step Two: Plan the episode.
Mom made me think about the topic, the goal and the recipe that will work.  I picked Cocoa because it is my favorite and the first recipe I learned.

This is a lot more work than I expected.  But tomorrow mom is letting me film it! I hope you like it!
